I helgen presenterte jeg Blok-Haakonsen for bergenserne, vet ikke om dette er gjort før, men det ble med stort hell iallefall. Drinken falt godt i smak hos begge kjønn.

Answer to Beate and Gunnhild's question below: Although Cinzano Bianco works as a substitute for Martini's, it does not taste exactly the same. I reckon the quite bitter taste of Martini Bianco is replaced by sweeter taste with the Cinzano. However if you conclude that the whole continent is missing the main ingredient, I guess it will have to do. Still, I would advise you to get out of the wilderness, and back to the civilized world with the required merchandises. :)

After three great years in Halden with Blok, we have obviously had extensive experience with Blok-Haakonsen. This is an excellent drink and we were looking forward to introdusing it to the natives of Australia. However, when we ordered the drink here, it tasted like shit! We did get Schweppes, we did get two ice cubes but the bartender had put DRY Martini in it instead of Martini Bianco! Yuk!! After this experience we decided to check out the liqueur stores to see if they actually had Martini Bianco, and much to our surprise they don't have it here! Appaled at this turn of events, we've been sobbing for a couple of weeks, but we're now seeing a soloution: They do have Cinzano Bianco! We're not really sure if it tastes the same, but we're thinking of giving it a go. Is that ok with Blok and Haakonsen? Cheers from Myrvoll-Jenssen in Brisbane
